At Curi Capital, it’s our mission to help clients build true wealth, however they define it. Our team brings the knowledge, experience, and passion to help clients meet their goals through a wide range of financial services and solutions—and we’d love for you to meet them.

Each month, we will engage a different member of the Curi Capital team to learn more about their experiences, their insights, and their perspectives, while providing an opportunity for you to get to know them on a more personal level.

This month, we sat down with Joshua Voisine, our new Regional Director and Wealth Advisor in Atlanta, to discuss the role he will play in the firm’s physical expansion efforts in the Atlanta and Georgia markets, how his career is a passion project, and where he finds joy outside of work.

Could you tell us about your role with Curi Capital?

As the new Regional Director and Wealth Advisor for the Atlanta and Georgia markets, my role is dual-focused. Much like our team’s other advisors, I’m responsible for onboarding new clients to the wealth management platform whether that’s through financial planning, investment management, or helping practices source retirement plans. As a Regional Director, I will also lead the charge in Atlanta as we continue growing our physical presence in the state. As a resident of the Atlanta area for 20 years, I’m excited to serve as the boots on the ground for Curi Capital, bringing our services closer to Curi’s member-physicians throughout the state of Georgia.

Why is Atlanta a good area for expansion efforts?

There is a strong concentration of both Curi member-physicians and other individuals in need of wealth management services in Atlanta—making the area a key growth market for Curi Capital. My physical presence allows us to be even more accessible to this community of professionals, especially physicians and their practices, who we have vast experience serving through both Curi and Curi Capital. With our capabilities of financial planning, wealth management, private investments, and retirement plan solutions, we see a huge market that Curi Capital can service, and this expansion is just a natural step for our firm.

What led you to your career?

I’ve always had a knack for numbers, so I studied finance at the University of South Alabama and went through the Executive Program for Financial Planning at the University of Georgia. From my early interactions with clients, I knew I wanted to take a holistic approach with my clients, so I also earned my CFP® designation. Getting to see the fruits of my labor firsthand is why I love what I do. Watching my advice and planning in partnership with my clients help them reach their financial aspirations is how I define success in my career.

What did you do in your career before joining the Curi Capital team?

Most recently, I was a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with Ameris Bank, serving as a wealth planner and client advisor. Previously, I held similar roles with PNC Bank and RBC Bank on their private banking teams. I’ve often been seen as a go-to resource from a financial planning standpoint and have enjoyed teaching other advisors how to prepare and present plans. I’ve also had opportunities to make something out of nothing—once taking a low-performing branch and making it first in the region and among the top in the nation. I truly care about the work I’m doing and am proud to have joined the Curi Capital team. I look forward to all that we can accomplish.

What is your vision for the firm?

We have a large enough backing to provide all the products, services, and technologies needed to do our jobs well, while being small enough to pivot when change is needed. Our flexibility combined with the tremendous experience among our team sets us apart from other firms. Our expertise in the physician niche is also very rare in Atlanta, making us fully equipped to fill the servicing need in this area.

What has been one of the most memorable experiences in your personal life? How did it shape you as an individual?

I’m married with two kids and two dogs and any time spent with my family is valuable to me. Whether we’re boating on Lake Lanier, exploring the outdoors, or going for a hike, we have a wonderful time together. My oldest son has just begun college, and it’s a proud moment as a parent to watch my children grow up and experience life.

What are some of your interests or hobbies outside of work?

I particularly enjoy woodworking and have quite the collection of carpentry tools at home. I can build just about anything from cabinetry to bookends and have a good time doing it. I’m a “DIY” kind of guy and enjoy the craftsmanship that goes into woodworking. I also enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities with my kids.
