At Curi RMB Capital, it’s our mission to help clients build true wealth, however they define it. Our team brings the knowledge, experience, and passion aiming to help clients meet their goals through a wide range of financial services and solutions—and we’d love for you to meet them.

This month, we sat down with Hannah Arthur, Senior Client Service Administrator, to discuss the ways in which she gets to work with our clients, the inspiration behind her passion for the financial planning profession, and where she finds joy outside of work.

COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE WITH CURI RMB CAPITAL AND WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN LIKE SO FAR?

As a Client Service Administrator, I mainly work alongside the advisors to serve and meet the needs of our clients. This typically entails onboarding new clients, account maintenance, movement of funds, and a variety of other tasks. I’ve also been cross-training with the financial planning team, shadowing some of our wealth advisors and completing data entry on the financial planning software.

Another focus of mine has been studying for my CFP® designation and completing my education program to become eligible to sit for the exam.

WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CAREER?

I began my time in undergrad as a Nutrition Science major planning to go into dietetics, until I realized my sophomore year that was no longer my passion. I decided to drop my classes and began researching alternate careers. I had a lot of great conversations with my father and Senior Director of Wealth Management, David Arthur, and Wealth Advisor, Katie Strother, gaining insight into their day to day. I began to pursue this path and haven’t looked back since.

I’ve always loved math, so that coupled with the relationship-building aspect just felt like the perfect combination for me. I’m now nine months into my role with Curi RMB Capital and it has allowed me to learn the ins and outs of the business and gain a better understanding of this industry.

WHAT DID YOU DO IN YOUR CAREER BEFORE JOINING THE CURI RMB CAPITAL TEAM?

While a full-time student at North Carolina State University, I had the opportunity to work as an Investment Associate Intern at Park Ridge Asset Management (later acquired by Curi Capital in 2022), and a Business Intern at the North Carolina National Guard Association where I worked under the Executive Assistant in finance and budgeting.

WHAT IS YOUR VISION FOR THE FIRM?

Although we are continuing to experience growth with our recent merger with RMB Capital, my personal goal is to continue focusing on serving our clients and helping them reach their personal and financial goals.

WHAT SETS CURI CAPITAL APART FROM OTHER FIRMS?

I noticed a strong sense of teamwork from day one—everyone is open to collaboration. We’re all using our individual strengths to work together as a team to reach our goals. Everyone is very passionate about the work they are doing and go above and beyond to serve the needs of our clients. It’s a wonderful and encouraging environment to be a part of.

WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?

Running a half marathon in November of 2023. It taught me a lot about endurance and perseverance. All those months of training out in the heat paid off the moment I completed the race. There was just as much a need for mental training in addition to the obvious physical challenges.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INTERESTS OR HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF WORK?

I’m very involved at my church and am part of the worship team where I serve as a worship leader. I did an internship under the worship pastor in college and have continued volunteering with that team ever since. I am also one of the small group co-leaders for our Women’s Bible Studies and love being a part of that community. I enjoy staying active and getting outside and running  different races throughout the year is one of my favorite ways to do that. And of course, I always love spending time with my family, friends, and fiancé, Graham.
